"Education abroad impacted my life by giving me my career...
...It gave me a chance to see other people's lives. I had never really been out of California let alone out of the United States. It gave me a whole different view on what the world was about and I was never the same... after having the chance to see how other people live.
....Had I not been on an education abroad program, I don't think I ever would have joined the foreign service. I never would have been abroad that I can tell."
-   Marc Grossman
Former Undersecretary of State
for Political Affairs
U.S. Department of State

Are your students considering a term or year abroad?

International study helps students understand, cope with and build careers in an economically highly competitive world.

Opportunities are available worldwide.
California's two- and four-year colleges and universities, both public and independent, offer outstanding opportunities for study abroad. Characteristically, students continue to earn home university credit, progress toward graduation, and pay fees that are similar to what they would pay to remain in California for the term or year. For most, a student's financial aid can be applied to study abroad.

The key to success is advance planning.
Students need to begin planning well before they set food in another land - in most instances as early as their first term in a college or university. Many programs have GPA, language, and class standing prerequisites.
