Many in the study abroad field receive training through graduate level training in student affairs and higher education administration. We have collected samples of courses within these degree programs to develop sample syllabi/curriculum to assist in the integration of study abroad and internationalization in U.S. higher education issues in these graduate degree programs. We will provide the following sample curriculum, which will include issues relevant to effective study abroad program development and administration: At the University of Southern California, two versions of this course were offered: EDHP 599: Special Topics: Administration of International Programs in Higher Education and EDPA 599: Special Topics: Seminar in Management of Student Services and Programs in International Higher Education in the Rossier School of Education. At the University of California at Los Angeles, another version of the course: EDUC 253A: Seminar on Current Problems in Comparative Education: Administration of International Programs in Higher Education, was offered through the Graduate School of Education and Information Sciences (that course was co-taught by Gary Rhodes and Val Rust). The course announcement, syllabus and reading materials from one of the USC courses follows as well as a general syllabus that could be used for the development of a course at your college or university: Course Announcement for EDPA 599
