American Council on Education (ACE) Letter to College and University Presidents

In February, 2001, the President of the American Council on Education, Stanley O. Ikenberry, sent a letter to college and university presidents about study abroad health and safety issues, including a note about the Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) of the US Department of State website (http://www.ds-osac.org), a note about a future update of the Task Force Guidelines, attention to United Educators (a US college and university liability insurance company), and attention to a conference on study abroad that will be held in October 2001.

A NAFSA note on the letter as well as the letter, itself, can be found on the NAFSA Website at: http://www.oldsite.nafsa.org/safetyabroad/ace.html

ACE has many useful publications, programs, and information about internationalization of US higher education, including study abroad. Information about these programs can be found on their website at: http://www.acenet.edu/programs/international
