Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) of the U.S. Department of State
The Overseas Security Advisory Council (OSAC) of the U.S. Department of State continues to provide useful resources for study abroad programs to support the safety and security of their programs and students abroad at no charge. OSAC has updated their registration process to make it easier to join on-line. Go to their website at: http://www.ds-osac.org and sign up for your institution (if someone is already a member from your institution, you will be automatically informed through the process).. If you have programs with a permanent site abroad, have your local directors become part of the OSAC Country Council. It is a way to get together with business and education directors to share issues of safety and security abroad.
